History and Beyond: Toughest outlaw of all
I recently found oral histories collected in the 1930s from elderly cowboys around New Mexico.
I made a wrong turn. Yep, instead of taking the fork that cuts north from Folsom, N.M. up toward Kim, Colo., I swung to the right where Folsom Creek meets the Cimarron River -- both just trickles -- and ended up in Boise City, Okla., the better part of 240 km out of my way.
