At first, I didn't like Lamberts. Now I like it but don't want to stand in line to get in during the summer.

I also have a problem with waiting in a line any where.I go when they first open up even if it's really not the time I would not normaly eat.

I didn't know that Lambert's had a restaurant in Gulf Shores but the one in Foley is great. The place has a reputation of being one of the best restaurants in the southeast. I'm partial to Hazel's in Orange Beach also! And I agree with you Fred, I can just imagine what biscuits and gravy made at Lamberts would taste like. I'm gaining weight just thinking about it. LOL.

Speaking of breakfast & Hazel's, there is a Hazel's in Gulf Shores next to the walmart that has great breakfast - be prepared to wait though if you go during the rush.

I didn't want to express my opinion on this subject (very unusual for me) but now that someone has brought up Hazel's (Hazel's Nook) in Gulf Shores, I will give my opinion. Forget about Hazel's in Orange Beach. Go to the Hazel's in Gulf Shores. Different owners completely. They have an Omlette Chef up until about 10am. Get the best omlette around and don't forget to tip the guy a buck for duing a great job. Their prices are reasonable, the service is good and the food is excellent. Don't forget to try their lunch buffet as well.

Foods great.I really like there Frog legs and Liver and onions with all there fixings they serve. I do agree the wait sucks but it doesn't matter where you go out to eat there's gonna be a wait.I've waited at Waffle House,O Charlies,Outback,
Apple Bees, Olive Garden. Seems like all the big named restraints have a wait.

Ribs and Reds...DO NOT EAT THERE!!!!!!!!
Owners are complete jerks. AND they tried passing a soy burger off as angus. I was raised on an angus farm, which I tried to explain, but the owner was still a complete jerk. I did not want to pay for something I did not order and I did not order a soyburger.
Funny thing was, after he walked away one of the employees openly admitted that what they served were soyburgers. Mr. Owner, what about "number one burger in the nation" crap you told us?

Like the atmosphere more than the food.

I live in Arkansas, but fell in love with Gulf Shores years ago while visiting with friends! I would like to start a restaurant, similar to Hazel's,with a breakfast buffet and omelet bar, near the beach. I find that it is hard to get a good breakfast without waiting in line until lunch time or going to Hardee's or McDonald's (the last 2 places I want to visit while on vacation). Does anyone know of a building for lease near the beach for this type of venture?
