STAUNTON TWP., Miami County - Firefighters from four area fire departments spent four hours on the scene of an overnight house fire at 5725 Stringtown Road northeast of Troy that destroyed the home causing more than an estimated $100,000 in damages.

Teacher charged for 'inappropriate' text messages
A Milton-Union schools teacher and soccer coach has been charged with contributing to the delinquency or unruliness of a minor for what police call inappropriate text messaging to a 17-year-old. Manuel A. Perez, 42, of Fletcher will be arraigned June 17 in Miami County Juvenile Court.
