The 2012 Mazda 6 is going on something of an extended Japanese vacation: production of the midsize sedan is finally winding down at the Flat Rock, Michigan plant, in favor of production in Hiroshima, Japan.

Some 2011-2013 Ford F-150s, Expeditions, and Mustangs and Lincoln Navigators are being recalling for an issue where the transmission may not signal that it is in reverse.

In a memo sent in March to Mazda employees at the company's U.S. headquarters in California, CEO of Mazda North America Operations Jim O'Sullivan told associates that the company was in the midst of an "extremely challenging business environment," and that the company would be offering buyouts to employees ahead of the planned restructuring.

The new 2013 model of Shelby GT500 comes with a 5.8L V8 that generates 662 hp and 631 lb/ft torque.

The supercharged 5.8-liter powerplant in the new 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 has been officially certified as the most powerful series production V-8 in the world, Ford says.
