The future of farming may be up in the air. Literally. That's the message from Tommy Woods of Gardens in the Air, a Flat Rock, Ala.-based company that is promoting farming by aeroponics.

They arrived in their work clothes, in camo, T-shirts and suits. They came from near and far, very far, both alone and with entire families: wide-eyed children in strollers, spouses, grandparents, cousins and even a squirrel in a satchel and a lemur on a leash.

Daniel James Pardue, 19, his wife Elizabeth Nicole Pardue, 18, both of Higdon, and Michael Cole Henderson, 26, of Flat Rock were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, according to a release from Sheriff Jimmy Harris.

Sunday, Jackson County Sheriff's Deputies went to a residence on County Road 197 in Flat Rock to serve an outstanding warrant.
