In a continuing effort to address the growing demand for advanced wireless data products and services, AT&T* announced the activation of a new cell site near Fittstown that will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses.

Pontotoc County is receiving $2.8 million in federal stimulus money, according to msn.com's "Stimulus Tracker," a website detailing how much has been earmarked for each county under the "American Reinvestment and Recovery Act." Congress passed the $787 billion funding package in February.
