Ferrum man who shot at police officers convicted of attempted malicious wounding

Leland John Wilson Jr., a Ferrum man who opened fire on two police officers in October, leading to a brief standoff before surrendering, pleaded guilty today to two counts of attempted malicious wounding of a police officer and one count of using a firearm in a felony.
