U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, PA-11, announced that almost three dozen flood-damaged homes in Columbia County will be bought out at a total project cost of almost $3.8 million.

When last month's flood canceled the Bloomsburg Fair all the shows at the grandstand were also called off so the fair is refunding nearly 300,000 concert and event tickets that were bought before the fair.

Bloomsburg Fair President Paul Reichart said now is the time for Bloomsburg to seriously consider building a levee system.

Those who live in Columbia County are still coming to grips with the flood damage there.
