I was the third vehicle behind the truck (northbound on I57) when the accident occurred. I could only scream as I saw it happen. I called 911 twice because emergency vehicles and police were not arriving fast enough. To see the truck flip on its side and roll across the embankment was very scary. The driver emerged from the truck and stumbled about 15 feet before collapsing onto the grass. The truck began to burn. What was left of the vehicle traveling southbound looked like it had been thorough a vehicle crusher. Many, many people stopped to help. I hope I never see an accident like that again. My thoughs and prayers are with the family of the deceased.
