Judge under investigation for criminal aid

If this is true, she should be removed from office.

I second that motion. I wish we could get rid of all crooked judges and law enforcement personnel! And justice for all........not!

Shame on you Municipal Judge Barbara Aldaz-Mills. How could you sit there and hand out sentences to everyone else when you really should put hand cuffs on yourself!!! You just made yourself look silly by pulling a stunt like this. Thomas Vigil should have done the right thing and just appeared for his hearing. Why make it so much harder for yourself. I hope the bailsman brings them both in.

This is just the tip of the ice berg. Judicial standards needs to look realy hard at all aspects of this court. Paperwork, Files and at the financial aspects as well.

Well barbara, you finally got caught. after all your whining at one lawyer for trying to get bond reduced you chose to join the dark side. And this guy of all the folks in your court. Is he related by marriage?(eveyone else is). At least have the common sense to let your clerk call and tell him to hustle in before he gets hauled in and locked up! Wonder who will get your job now?

This whole area of law enforcement is so corrupt, how can we expect our city to be safe, when our judges and cops are all crooked? It makes me sick. I have never been convicted of any crimes in the area, but due to my brothers, who the cops know all to well, I feel I have been harrassed by the law en"force"ment here.Its a sad day when judges are tipping off criminals and not takeing on the tough enough job of protecting innocent people.

Lets not get stupid here. All judges and law enforcement are not corrupt. There is good and bad in every profession. The judge needs to go but will the City of Aztec take action. Even if no criminal charges are brought she has violated the public's trust and needs to go. Just like a certain Jail Director a little while back. Hey, maybe is she is arrested Tom Havel will book her into his office.
Get rid of the bad apples and lets move on.

I must say this area has the most issues with judges, and other high end officials. I dont think I have ever lived in an area with so many problems! First its a Judge giving a man jail time for Freedom of Speech and now this! very very sad! Im glad to see my hard earned tax money is going to good use!

As usual...good ole San Juan County watches the backs of its own. Nothing will happen to the Judge, the DA will look the other way. The cops will waste time investigating another "incident" and write it off. Never mind that SJC is consider a laughing stock in the Southwest were racism, prejudice, stereotyping and discrimination happens every single second. Is anybody concerned or are we all just casting an immune glance around?

Shame on you Judge Barbara. You are losing you quick witt and your fast action to keep your behind out of trouble. It appears that you have really stepped in it this time. This isn't the first time she has done this - and it won't be the last. The stuff that she does within her court room would make you lose a lot of respect in the judicial system. I hope that something is done and that she is removed from the bench. There needs to be some moral and some ethics brought back to that court.........

I'm not sure she could be charged with anything, even if it's true, though I think she would lose her job if it's proven.

Sorry but you are wrong. Do you even watch the news or read the paper. What about a few nights ago, an employee of the Albq DA's office was busted for DWI. How many times have we seen or heard of an Albq police officer being arrested for killing his step father, fired for driving another officer home away from a car wreck because he was drunk, fired for letting a friend out of the back door of a DWI Command post.
In every profession there are idiots and San Juan County has its fair share but its not just here in San Juan County.
Im not trying to excuse any of their actions,this Judge was wrong and should be let go. The off duty Deputy that shot a gun outside his wifes house was fired. The off duty Farmington PD Officer that wrecked his car drunk and then lied quit before he could be fired. Havel..... ok that one slipped through but he should have been fired. All I am saying is it isn't just in San Juan County.
Of course those who want to judge all of the Judicial System and Law Enforcement based on the actions of a very few always ignore the good that is done.
Sad, Sad people if you ask me.
