The people who have filed this suit are not environmentalists. These are obstructionists. They do not understand that there can be a coexistence between nature and technology, consequently they are taking every oppurtunity to obstruct the progress of industry.

Farmington, Aztec, & Bloomfield were small farm communities until the discovery of small oilfields in the 1920's. In the early 50's we saw our largest population growth as a result of the discovery of large gas reserves. The revenues that are generated by oil & gas support our schools, hospitals, churches, and families.

We have a secured source of energy that is ready to be tapped to avert our pending energy crisis, but only if we are smart enough to put the needs of the majority over the uneducated whims of special interest groups from outside of our community.
