A tractor trailer driver escaped causing a major mess on Interstate 77 Monday morning, after he lost control of his big rig.

With more than $990,000 in Federal Stimulus dollars coming off the books for Fiscal Year 2012-2013, officials in the Carroll County Public School System knew previously they faced an uphill climb.

With construction now taking place on the $8 million Fancy Gap water and sewer projects, one area contractor is concerned with the budgeting process used by the Carroll County Public Service Authority and what he says is a low amount of contingencies for the projects.

Within five minutes of its first meeting Jan. 3, the new Carroll County Board of Supervisors probably had more disagreements than the previous board did in its entire four years.
