Two people were killed and at least 20 injured Tuesday on Interstate 77 in southwestern Virginia in a series of wrecks involving around 50 vehicles.

Carroll County Supervisor Bob Martin talked to The Gazette and a local TV station on Thursday about a complaint and protective order filed by Assistant County Administrator Nikki Shank.

The Carroll County Public Service Authority hopes action it took Thursday morning during a special called meeting will allow federal funding to resume for inspection services of the Fancy Gap water and sewer projects.

Franklin County Commonwealth's Attorney Timothy W. Allen has ruled that a conflict of interest exists with the a Carroll County Board of Supervisor also being an employee of the company performing inspections on the Fancy Gap Water and Sewer projects.
