By Heather Hintze June 12, 2009 A FALL CREEK, Ore.--A Protesters from the group Eugene Tide Rising are showing their opposition to the Western Oregon Plan Revision--WOPR--by camping out in a tree in the Fall Creek area.

Eugene-area activists have set up a tree-sit in an area of Fall Creek that could be logged under a Bureau of Land Management plan.

Summer is almost here and so is clearcut season. In an effort to stop Northwest trees from falling on public lands, Cascadia Summer 2009, a direct action campaign, is looking to train people on how to do everything from tree sitting to community and media outreach and lobbying.
