Area Stocks Up on Shops

Rolling Acres didn't go under because of lack of money in this area. It went under because people, like me, drive to Fairlawn, Montrose and Wadsworth to spend our money. I personally drive the extra distance to get a way from the the trash that hangs out at Rolling Acres. Drive by Summit Mall any day or time of the week and their parking lot is full.
Even K-Mart did well in Montrose ... That is BEFORE Metro started to bus the trash in and turned it into another Rolling Acres type store. Once K-Mart closed it's doors the trash stopped taking the bus to Montrose.

Society needs to EDUCATE, or Steralize, the majority of these out of wedlock pariahs on society, great grandmas at 42. These hoodlums do not contribute anything positive to society. Fireworks friday night is a prime example. After the show many families were walking up Mill St. At first a few droopy pants hoods gathered walking abreast, then some more joined until about 20-30 were all gathered. As they gathered you could here them saying,...take it back...it's ours, and All kinds of other B.S. "mumbo jumbo" that you couldn't understand. Along with them were gur friends with high cut skin tight skirts showing their bubble butts, decorated with Chinese junk trash, talking their trash, again you couldn't understand anything they were saying. When they reached High St. a huge comotion broke out... our group ran toward Broadway, Police came from everywhere, including a paddy wagon, and sheriffs deputies on horses. The RATS scattered in all directions, cops busted a few of these knuckle heads and threw them in the wagon...
You will never hear about any of this in the news papers, unless a knuckle head was shot, then it's the policemans fault. Its always the knuckleheads fault.
Never again will our group go to downtown Akron for anything after dark.
The firworks at Portage Lakes outclassed Akrons,truly Artistic, Flowers, Weewping Willow trees, Baseballs, what they did with fireworks were amaaazing, and the best part was the people were all Americans, NO KNUCKLEHEADS anywhere, what a relief..........

Read the caption. That Dollar Store is in lily-white Brimfield. I've never been in one, but I always imagined the most prominent socio-economic group in there was some cheesy white people.

i don't think a dollar tree store in the area means it's 'ghetto'....family dollar is ghetto, but not dollar tree...

a good indicator a plaza is 'ghetto' is when there's a payday loan place and a rent a center in it...

Brimfield is growing commercially with the help of the Tallmadge JEDD partnership. Now if only they can keep the hoodrat's out. The problem is I76 exit at Brinfield is just a short drive away from innercity CrAkron where the hoodrat's play.

Any property vacant for more than 2 years should be torn down and a bill sent to the owner. A vacant field is better than an empty slum depreciating the neighborhood. If they drop the rent low enough to avoid vacancy restrictions, at least some mom & pop outfit can move in and be profitable.
