A just-graduated Fairfield University student told police Tuesday that while she was moving Saturday from her rental home on Fairfield Beach Road, someone took an Apple Mac Book , worth $1,000, a hair dryer, hair straightener and assorted clothes from her room.

Fairfield University 's annual pre-graduation beach bash, the ClamA Jam, was relatively subdued this year, thanks to a concerted effort between Fairfield Police, the Lantern Point Association and Fairfield University, according to a report in the Fairfield Citizen.

One of the residents told police she had just awakened and went downstairs around 5 a.m., and found a man in the living room.

After 16 years of business, The Inn at Fairfield Beach has not lost its desire for providing guests with a personal touch.
