Filipino convicted for killing American

A local woodcarver was convicted Monday of killing a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer who disappeared while hiking solo in the northern Philippines' famed mountainside rice terraces.

This guy deserves the death penalty. How can one murder someone who is there for nothing else but to help people in that poor country. That country should make an example so that the same will not happen again.
