Animal cruelty charges filed in Fairacres hoarding case
Investigators with the Dona Ana County Sheriff Department have filed 71 charges against a man accused of hoarding more than two dozen dogs and 13 birds on his property off Fairacres Road.
Man sentenced to 193 years in kidnap, torture case
A jury has convicted an Alamogordo man for his role in binding and torturing four adults with duct tape and torturing them with heated metal tongs while their children were forced to watch and listen to their screams.

A trial began this week for an Alamogordo man who prosecutors say was one of three armed defendants who, in November 2005, bound four adults and two children with duct tape, and then allegedly tortured the adults.
