A 79-year-old man died at Tuesday morning from injuries he suffered when a tractor-trailer truck ran into his car.

A mother whose baby died from a head injury says the uncle accused in the child's death had asked to watch the 7-month-old for childcare practice, since he's expecting a child of his own.

A 7-month-old Fair Play girl died in what has been ruled a "homicide by child abuse" case, the coroner said.

Three of the reasons Miguel Berg decided to pursue a career in film: the storytelling in foreign features like "Motorcycle Diaries" and "Amores Perros"; respect for his late uncle, Colombian public radio journalist Oscar Ramon Bayona Gomez; and an experience editing a video presentation for prospective University of Delaware students.

Patricia Shaffer, 86, Fair Play, S.C., formerly of Altoona, died Wednesday. She was born in Milan, Ohio, daughter of Perce and Marion Malone.
