County treasurers from around the State of Iowa will attend the funeral for 53-year-old Connie Johnson Thursday at the Exira Lutheran Church in Exira.

Brian Dentlinger of Arcadia and a student at Kuemper Catholic, Clara Lauritsen of Exira and Taylor Lewis of Audubon both students at Audubon Community Schools along with Adam Hoskins of Jefferson were named recipients of west central's excellence in agricultural scholarship program.

The Audubon County Board of Supervisors approved the bid for a bridge replacement project on 280th Street about 4 miles east of Exira.

Exira Community School was denied over $131,000 of modified allowable growth for the school year 2011-2012. The denial was announced last month during by the School Budget Review Committee , which is a division of the Iowa Department of Education.
