Hawaii , the nation's most ethnically diverse state, has seen a big increase in residents identifying themselves as being of mixed race, according to Census data released Thursday.

A new traffic signal will go "live" on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at the intersection of Kapolei Parkway and Kolowaka Drive in Ewa Gentry.

The city will resume its normal monthly bulky item collection starting Wednesday, Feb.

Ewa resident Lila Rattner finally got some relief last night from the mosquito problem from her neighbor's abandoned koi pond, but the solution offers no precedent for other Hawaii residents living next to foreclosed homes that pose a nuisance or hazard.
