Everyone acts like we have such a great public school system even before the furloughs and financial issues, we don't. It appears that most families are concerned with daily "child care" and education is not a problem. When will people realize the government is not responsible for raising your kids, you are. The government ultimately is not responsible for educating your kids, again you are. Quit playing the victim and grow up.

Once the Hurricane fund has been used for this band-aid fix for this year. What fund will be used next for the next fix?, and so on and so on til we either run out of funds to raid or til the recession ends sometime soon. It appears niether is a win-win situation for all concerned. It's become very apparent the government has no clue that we do know what their doing. Use of the children as the victim of the state is getting old. Alternatives and compromises are what is needed. Dispense with the blame game and look for them.

Is Lingle suggesting that she will allow the fund to raided after the threat of hurricane season passes?

That is irresponsible.

Any surplus that the goverment collects is a representation of over-taxation. It should be returned to those who paid into the fund.

If it is used to pay unions, it is the same as increasing taxes because one day the huricane relief fund will need to be replenished!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Gemini

You'll need every ounce of patience today because even the best-laid plans could go up in smoke under the Full Moon lunar eclipse. It seems that certain people are doing their best to throw spanners in the works, and the more annoyed you become the more they'll goad you still further. If there's dissent in the ranks about how to spend New Year's Eve, you may decide to go your own sweet way and prove that you're an individual in your own right. But try not to let any bad feelings mar the celebrations. Have a fantastic night!
