Ascent to Mt. Everest Summit starts this morning
May. 22, 2009 8:02 a.m. Lori Schneider and a team of Sherpas will start their ascent to the world's highest peak about 11 a.m. Friday morning, according to the latest update from the Alpine Ascents International .
Water, sewer grants awarded to 12 communities
Twelve Kansas communities will share $4,044,515 in water and sewer grants through the federally funded Community Development Block Grant program, the Kansas Department of Commerce has announced.
