Several of us from Howard High School in Nashville was of the opinion that to see MacAuthur was more educational than attending school so we skipped school going to Murfressboro and standing on Highway 41 for a couple of hours waiting. Finally the big time arrived and Mac in the auto came by with the windows rolled up, dark and doing about 55 mph and that was the extent of my education until the next day at school obtaining the punishment for skipping.
