The Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is looking for the public's help in Tuesday night's shooting death in the Edmonds neighborhood of Esperance.

Police say an Edmonds homeowner shot and killed a burglar Tuesday night. The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. at a house in the 8900 block of 225th Place Southwest in the community of Esperance.

The mayor stopped in for coffee at Starbucks. Kids sledded down hills. Families were out walking around.

Although individual use of fireworks are banned in Edmonds, they are allowed in surrounding areas of unincorporated Snohomish County, which includes Esperance.

Paying bills is never an experience to remember. But Lynda Lowell, administration service manager for Olympic View Water and Sewage District's new administration office , says she's noticed a few more smiles since moving from an old and cramped space nearby on Edmonds Way.
