A 501-C called 'Schoharie Recovery' has been providing workers and materials to fix up properties since two days after Irene struck.

Flood victims fight property tax bills
After Bonnie Fewtrell lost her Esperance home to flooding from Tropical Storm Irene, she was left with school and property tax bills totalling $3,000. That's a bill Fewtrell says she can't afford, on land that doesn't exist anymore.
