Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by James Barton, 78, of Esperance, was westbound on Route 20 and attempted to make a left hand turn on Route 30 south.

A 78-year-old woman was killed in a two-car wreck Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Routes 20 and 30 in Duanesburg, said State Police.

For the first time since some of the them were damaged during Tropical Storm Irene, the 20 emergency sirens set up along the creek to warn about a possible breach of the Gilboa Dam were tested Wednesday afternoon.

Toxicology reports have resulted in additional charges being filed against an Esperance motorist who was originally stopped by Montgomery County sheriff's deputies in February.
