People evacuated during a chemical fire in West Baton Rouge Parish last week want the company who owned the storage facility where it happened to pay up.

Residents living within a one-mile radius of the Air Liquide Speciality Chemicals plant were given the OK to return home, and a portion of U.S. 190 reopened Wednesday morning following Monday's explosion and chemical fire at the Port Allen site.

Crews continued with clean-up of chemical fire at Air Liquide facility in West Baton Rouge Parish as late as Tuesday evening.

One person was injured, families are being evacuated and US 190 is shut down at Bueche Road between Port Allen and Erwinville due to a chemical fire.
