I attended the event yesterday and wanted to say congratulations to Kate Felix and her team of organizers. The event was a fun day and a terrific success -- a great turnout for a first effort. To anyone who has a doxie, I'd encourage you to register and attend for the races next year - it's a fun time with great people, and there's an environment of great sportsmanship. Where else can you find an afternoon of heartwarming entertainment for a couple of dollars? I wish Kate the best of success in the coming years with her very worthwhile project - looks like she has a great start!

How do I get more info to start a race locally in my state?

To all the Dachshund owners, we had a Dachshund named Heidi
and we loved her. They are beautiful. |

I think you'd run faster if Loren Bobbitt was chasing you! |

I wish I'd have known about this event sooner because I would have loved to attend. How was it advertised? Also, I'd like to know if Stacy Paxson or Esther Walker make the carriers their doxies were in and if they are available to buy.

Labor day weekend 08 I had the pleasure of meeting Kate and Joan and Terry. On Sunday Kate came up to me and asked he how she could start a race in her hometown.I belive in hand on teaching so I put her to work learning the ropes, she took to it like a duck to water and was learning and loving it.To have a race takes a special kind of person to be able to pull it all together. On Sunday I had the opportunity to watch her
dream come true. She had all the volunteers in place and they smiled and loved it has much as she did.She made sure that the dachshunds had a safe place to play with there families watching and cheering them on.As I watch I was amazed at her volunteer group these people know what the true meaning of friendship and family means. Congratulations to all of you for a event well done. Toni Gossard Exective Director of the National Dachshund races |
