Two brothers face charges after Hanson County authorities rescued 14 animals from a southeast South Dakota acreage.

Hanson county authorities conducted an animal rescue Friday afternoon in Emery. 18 animals in all were taken from a residence there just after 9:30 a.m. Eight horses, three dogs and three rabbits were taken from the home at 150 Handson Street in Emery.

Huge bolts of lighting lit up the sky for hours in Sioux Falls as weather warnings popped up all over the area.

A tornado was reported one mile north of Bridgewater at 10:26 p.m., and storm damage was reported near Emery in McCook County, according to reports from the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls.
