Cities seeking delay in school plan

City councils at Cook, Orr and Tower have approved identical resolutions opposing School District 2142a s consolidation plan for the Cook, Orr and Tower-Soudan schools and asked that its implementation be delayed at least one year until a more acceptable plan for their communities can be devised.

Tower-Soudan High School students celebrated homecoming this week. During Monday's coronation, Chris Suihkonen and Brandi Martin were crowned King and Queen, and Joe Junek and Ann Gawboy were crowed Prince and Princess.

More Meetings for County Schools Long Range Plan

More public meetings on the St. Louis County Schools Long Range Plan. The district says if the fall referendum fails, they would have to close schools immediately, which would likely end the district.
