Highway Patrol seizes $11,000 worth of Ecstasy during traffic stop

ELYRIA TWP. - The State Highway Patrol seized $11,000 worth of Ecstasy along with marijuana during a traffic stop on the turnpike Monday.
According to the patrol, Gordon D. Williams, 36, and Paige L. Darrington, 29, both of Cleveland, are charged with possession of a schedule I drug and aggravated drug trafficking. Darrington is also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Troopers stopped a 2012 Buick LaCrosse with a South Carolina registration for a turn signal violation near milepost 142 at 7:12 p.m.
Darrington admitted to having a small bag of marijuana and a glass pipe in her purse in the vehicle's trunk, the patrol said.
Further investigation revealed a perfume box containing 596 Ecstasy pills, worth an estimated $11,000.
Williams and Darrington were taken to the Lorain County Jail.
