<![CDATA[RICHMOND, Ind. - Mindle Coffey, age 88, of Richmond, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at Arbor Trace. Born February 26, 1926, in Irvine, Kentucky, to Harvey and Emoline Lainhart Coffey, he lived most of his life in Richmond. Mindle retired after 46 years from Eaton Gear Works and was the owner of Coffey's Appliances for sixteen years. He enjoyed working and NASCAR. Survivors include his daughters, Carla (Jack) Hamilton of Marion, Indiana, and Jeana (Todd) Smelser of Centerville; grandchildren, Tony (Debra) Mullins of Elwood, Indiana, Bobbi Mullins and Cindy (Tony) Bennie, both of Fairmount, Indiana, and Hillary Chaney of Centerville; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Toni (Arden) Chaney of Richmond; special son-in-law, John Chaney; nieces; and nephews, including special nephew, Richard Coffey. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and four brothers. Visitation for Mindle Coffey will be from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Chaplain Edward R. McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery.
