ODOT conducted a study on the area known as the Fern Ridge corridor for a year and a half after residents in the Veneta and Elmira area griped about congestion and the safety of drivers on that two-lane highway.

One local high school football team's victory Friday ended in defeat when they realized several personal items were stolen from the locker room they were using.
