Ex-college president takes reins of casino
Former Shippensburg University President Anthony Ceddia will oversee Mount Airy Casino Resort until perjury charges against owner Louis DeNaples are resolved, state regulators ruled Tuesday.
Ceddia, who led Shippensburg from 1981 to 2005, is expected to make $300 to $800 an hour running the Monroe County casino, which must pay him. DeNaples is barred from entering the facility or profiting from it pending the outcome of his case.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board voted unanimously to continue a suspension of DeNaples' gaming license, and barred him from discussing casino business with Mount Airy employees, including his daughter Lisa, one of Mount Airy's vice presidents. Read more
