This dog still has faith in humans, even after this abuse--this dog has more class than most humans could ever have. How about we gather a posse together and find the coward(s)that did this. God Bless this dog and the people that took the time, effort, and money to rescue and care for it.

Thank you to all who interceded in this. Human compassion often seems lost in this world.

What a Heart-string-tugging story. Thank goodness for divine intervention to rescue the dog and doctor her back to health. Thank goodness for sweet and caring people who do things out of the kindness of their hearts and not always for the paycheck. And thanks for sharing.

OMG what a sweet dog! Those ex-owners claiming ignorance should be prosecuted. If as they say, a nieghbor did it, there would be a gun shot hole in the trailer or evidence of a break in. Also, why didn't they try to get her back? Losers!

I experienced tears when I read thru this story. To shoot an animal and leave is beyond cruel. I hope the police find the person responsible.

The article said that there were bloody dog prints outside of the home. So, the poor thing had to have been outside and maybe put into the home after she was shot. The couple that owned her, and left her, should be prosecuted. You might leave a cat for a couple of days with food, water and a litter box, but not a dog.

Thank you to everyone who helped this sweet pup. I adopted my second dog from a rescue organization and I have never met a more loving, sweet animal. I don't understand how someone can hurt a defenseless dog like this. Cowards.

I've always thought that the punishment should fit the crime, literally.

Very simple, anyone who does this to defenseless animal should be slowly tortured for weeks and then burned alive.

This is felony animal cruelty.

Animal cruelty is a precursor to the horrific, sociopath behavior found in people like Jeffery Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy.

It's well worth the public funding for the D.A. to pursue the perpetrators of this crime and get firm sentencing. The next victim may be a human.

I would also like to send a very special thank you to Dr. Rasmussen, the orthopedic specialist, and her staff. She is also donating all her surgeries and treatments.

How about we do a little CSI checking of all the weapons of the Owner and the neighbors also check their hands for power residue as well?

Hold the owner that let the dog suffer accountable. Same as a kid if it happens on your watch it should be your tail if it goes bad.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Pisces

This is a great day for understanding what's going on under the surface of things and for tuning into the subtle messages that others are sending out. For instance, someone may say one thing yet you'll be utterly convinced that they really mean something quite different. However, they won't like it if you say so, so you'll have to maintain a tactful and discreet silence.
