There is interest in an arts venue of sorts for Murray County according to Jon Christian, who is heading a movement to determine the interest and support such a venue could gather.

The anti-abortion group Georgia Right to Life and Joe McCutchen, an influential Ellijay activist and talk radio host, are among those who endorsed Bicknell, his campaign said.

The event, sponsored by the Ellijay Amateur Radio Society, will be held on Saturday, May 12, 7AM - 2PM at the Gilmer County Civic Center located on South Main Street.
