How do you forget about your child? Just because she had a "change in routine", doesn't give her the right to get off of an involuntary manslaughter charge (the person's act either was by its nature dangerous to human life or was done with reckless disregard for human life). I think that a parent that is so self obsorbed should not have had this child in the first place. There is no excuse for this. It gives a whole new meaning to "a child left behind". I am pretty sure she didn't leave her cell phone in the car. Where are her priorities?

Kim, please get over yourself. Do you really think this was intentional or these parents didn't care about their kids? This was the biggest mistake and I am sure they would both do anything to take it back or put themselves in the place of their child. Just stop being so holier than thou and try to put yourself in their shoes. Imagine what they must be going through. If they'd accidently backed over their kid with their car, you'd bash them for not paying attention while they went through terrible guilt and loss. I am a parent of two and I know how it is to juggle them. I wouldn't for a second think that these parents were so self absorbed that they didn't love or diserve their children. If their kids were stollen from a grocery store, you's say they weren't paying attention and deserved it. How do you become the perfect parent that you so claim to be? You must be awesome to be around.

My heart goes out to these parents and their family for such a terrible loss. We aren't all heartless, evil and nasty.
