John Lilly , one of Charleston's best-known performing songwriters, is kicking off a two-month tour that will take his original, traditional and classic country music across the U.S., including northwards to Alaska.

In the studio of his home on Greendale Drive in Edgewood, illustrator Jeff Pierson finds inspiration amid a mind-boggling array of old toys, figurines, drawings and other fanciful artifacts of childhood.

They act like they are important and big shots, disturbing other people who want to have peace and quiet.
