I loved the article.

This is the first and only article that i have seen that states the most obvious aspect of this entire stupid argument over cameras - if you obey the law and if you drive safely and responsibly you wont get a ticket.

The focus of the "investigative reports" always focus on right turn on red cameras with little mention on red light violation cameras. A few ramblings:
- I live in elk grove village and support mayor johnson 100%.
- I have recieved (or rather my wife recieved, although it had my name on it as the registered owner of the vehicle) a red light ticket. She ran the light and got a ticket. What's the arguement?
- Not all laws are good. Not all laws are enforceable. Not all laws should be kept on the books, so let's look at the options:
-- Eliminate the right turn on red law as we did exist without it for decades. Right!
-- Change the stop bar location, so that only a single stop is required. This cannot be done as you would be stopping past the crosswalk and now pedestrians, bikers, rollerbladers, etc are at risk. Huge money to accomplish this AND results in an un-safe scenario. Overall, this cannot be done.
- The law is written in blood. the law helps ensure the safety of everybody on the roads.

To summarize:
- The cameras need to stay in place AND if I had my say, there would be "dummy" or fake cameras that the village / city / state could move around and keep everybody honest.
- I know radar activated cameras exist, and they should be used on the Interstates (particularly in construction zones). They were iinstalled in Charlotte, NC and worked like a charm. Nobody sped through the areas where the radar cameras were.
- In the far larger picture, let's enforce the laws that we have OR eliminate the law. If the law was critical enough to create it and put it on the books, enforce it. Behavior of dirvers is horrendous.
thanks

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Cancer

If you want to avoid having a row with someone, get out and about as much as possible today so you can work off all your nervous energy. If you stay in one place for too long you'll be in danger of becoming moody, and possibly even a right old crosspatch. You might also lose your temper with loved ones who are being bolshie or who have the audacity to disagree with you about something. Lighten up, Cancer!
