Sympathy goes out to the family of this young man. HMH has posted emergency signs asking visitors be limited and use proper handwashing techniques, leave children under 18 at home unless they themselves are for testing. But there are still stupid people that DO now think their little cherub will not get the H1N1 virus. These people use excuses like; nobody to babysit etc. Surely you have ONE friend you could leave your young family members with, leave grandma at home if she isn't the patient. They are doing that for "your health AND the health of the caretakers!" This H1N1 stuff is NOT a joke. Some are laughing it off saying so and so didn't get it and etc. Whatever!!!! Think of those around you! Use your head!

I was in the ER Sunday due to a car wreck. And when I came out from the back, EVERYONE in the waiting room had a mask on. Hope I don't get this flu. My nephew has tested positive for it and he came in the back of the ER were I was at.

Went to Walmart, people dragging babies and small children in there, coughing and hacking, literally crawling on the floor, hanging onto the poles.....gross! I don't think they read papers. I was paranoid just touching the cart. As soon as I got out of there, put my groceries away, I grabbed the hand sanitizer and saturated my hands down. As soon as I got home, I placed groceries down, changed clothes and washed hands AGAIN....put groc. away and washed them again. YES with this H1N1 I am VERY parinoid!

I had my little one in to see his doctor on monday at our local pediatrics office all he had was an earache, low an behold the sick room was full of little sickies, NOONE was wearing a mask.Com e thursday my son was running a fever of 102.0 we went back to the pediatrics office where he was dignosed with the H1N1 virus. Still noone was wearing a mask in the sick room posters were everywhere tell parents if their child had a fever or cough to please ask receptionist for a mask!!!!WHAT!!!! The staff knows when you call to make the appointment that the child has a fever or cough so why is it being left up to the parents to grab a mask it should be told to the parents "here is a mask lets wear it to stop the spread of the virus!!!! I feel noone is caring for our young, these are healthcare workers lets get with it people the virus is here an it is up to us to protect the ones we love!!!!!!!!!!

Is your son going to be O.K. and what are the symptoms besides a fever. I think they should take them in thru the back door and everyone should stay in their car until it is their turn. They should clean everything between patients. This thing is taking a toll. 114 kids have died since it started.

Agreed! If your child has a weakened immune system, cough, cold, snot; you take them to Dr office.....it's YOUR job as a parent to protect YOUR child, ask for a mask, even get one for yourself. Why lay blame on employees at the office. You got a brain..,use it! Duh.....immature so called parent!

I am also a health care worker, And as i wrote the Sign said if ur child has a fever, cough, then ask for a mask!!!! My child did not have any of these problems.... and if u are a healthcare worker then I feel sorry for ur patients u cannot even read and comprehend what people write... However immature "not" we do wear a mask to protect others around us when we have a fever or cough... the problem lies in instruction us as healthcare workers ie: nurses and office staff have taken an oath to be our patients advacotes.. WE have to stand up for our patients rights even if that means doing our job and protecting others from what u call immature parents...Get a grip and just do the job.... And I am pround to announce at the pediatrics office they have implamented a new way on protecting our children they no longer leave it up to the parents they are now giving mask as u sign in to those with a fever and cough WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!

Give me a break.......Take care of your children and wash your hands, healthcare workers do not give a crap about one another. I was diagnosed with the swine flu 4 wks ago. I returned to work the following Monday and lost my job!!!! I WORKED IN HEALTHCARE!!! They told me that if I would have been at my desk working there would not have been a problem, I was sick last winter went to my family Dr. on lunch break to find out that I had strep throat with a fever 103.1 my HEALTHCARE MANAGER advised me to go have a seat at my desk and continue my shift....

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aquarius

Keep calm and all will be well. You're feeling slightly fraught because there are so many demands on your time, and it won't help if you're trying to juggle some last-minute chores with some fun-filled social events. Get others to lend you a hand, or tell yourself that perfection is not an option right now and that you'll have to scale down your preparations accordingly.
