A traffic-flow change on new Ky. 1247 between Ferguson and Burnside has been effective for the past few days as the four-lane highway is prepared to open prior to Memorial Day weekend.

A few years back it would have been an impossible dream to drive through the pastoral and almost remote communities of Elihu and Cabin Hollow on a four-lane highway.
