The Greene County Board agreed to send a letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development supporting the Housing Authority's decision to sell the 10 apartment units in Eldred to a private entity.

Madison County Circuit Judge Dennis Ruth signed an order Nov. 4 allowing defendant Patricia Houseman of Eldred, Ill.

She married Gary Pfleger on March 9, 1960 and he survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Dawn Weaver of Jerseyville; three sons, Gary Pfleger of Hamburg, Timmie Pfleger of Greenfield, and Thomas Pfleger of Carrollton.

Decades-long pals of a large, friendly man who liked playing cards and pool say they will miss the Eldred native who died Tuesday evening after crashing his truck south of Carrollton.
