Another bad guy bites the dust. Great job ESPD & MBPD! No one else hurt and another criminal taken off the street.

One less dummy off the streets. Better him than some other person. He made the choice to run, just turned out to be the wrong one.

Mark my words - this schmuck's family is going to look for a big payday from the city. The shyster representing the family will say the cops shouldn't have chased him to the degree that made him lose control of the car.

Singing---"I fought the law and the law won, I fought the law and the- law won!"

I do feel sorry for this person's parent's though. I once had a friend who did exactly that-- ran from cops (got killed when he hit a light post), because he was tired of getting speeding tickets. He was a young professional, a nice guy and an only child. When he was killed (due to his own doing), his parents suddenly were no longer parents!! The parents didn't sue, they were just left devastated. Those of use who are parents just hope our children choose to always do the right thing, even when just "having fun."

I'm glad no one else was hurt.........

That's the problem - some innocent bystander though. Can't tell you how many times in the last few months I've seen people shoot right through red lights - no brakes lights at all. Anyone in the crosswalk or coming through the intersection would have no chance at all anyway.

This crash woke me up at 3:15am, I walked down to the scene and had any of you insensitive posters witnessed and heard this crash you'd probably have a different feeling than an "out with the garbage" attitude. This kid could've been just scared and made the wrong decision to run and it ended his life. When he hit the pole with his left rear tire of the honda accord it not only ripped out the concrete anchor, broke the concrete pole itself in two places but also severed this guys body in half. A partial ejection means just that. Put yourselves in that positon and had it been a loved one of yours you might not talk so much S#!% online. Dont let what you see and read online make you numb to reality, there is always two sides to every story.

There's not two sides to running from the police and putting yourself, the police and innocent bystanders at risk.
