This is sad, but was bound to happen. I live in that area and I hate zaragosa/edgemere street. There's always accidents. That street is dark and speed limit is 60. They need to lower the speed limit and put lights up.

And what does that matter? Four people are dead. I wonder if they were your kids if you'd care at this very moment?

My prayers are with the families right now.

What a joke that a street is named after Rich Beem. He wasn't from El Paso. He hated El Paso. He treated the backers from El Paso like shat.

Totally agree with eastside resident, the intersections on Zaragosa at Rich Beem and Edgemere are danger zones. I heard the collision this morning and knew right away chances were someone was killed. How long is it going to take to put up lights, reduce the speed limit; and it's right next to an elementary/middle school??? God Bless the familes who lost their loved ones.

More THREE LEGGED MONKEY Fatalities! Just like the mother of four just a few months ago! All leaving this establishment! But of course Mr.Mike Armstrong,Owner the ever popular and Infamous "Three Legged Monkey" all this Incidents are out of the perimeters of You're "RESPONSIBILITY" according to TABC! Will El Paso Residents ever see the light? The Owners of these establishments need to face up to there Real Responsabilities to the community.Have them face criminal charges and realize the damage they cause to our youths and their families! ENOUGH is ENOUGH!! TIME TO FACE THE MUSIC!!!

I also live in the area. This accident literally happened in my back yard. I heard the accident when it happened. Right away I knew it was other collision.
You see about two months ago there was a similar nonfatal accident on Zaragoza that woke me up in the middle of the night.
There is a much needed for change. To begin the street is pitch black dark at night. Not a single light. The speed limit posted is 60mph!!! That is too high for an area within feet from residential sub divisions and not to mention a middle and ELEMENTARY school. I understand the speed limit when the area was not as populated as it is now... but come on OFFICIALS... stop lagging!
It doesn’t take a genius to see a problem. We had the same problem about seven years back on Joe Battle (loop 375) between Pebble Hills and Edgemere. THIS PROBLEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!!!!!!!!

This is a very very dark street. I made this comment to my husband as we were on our way to a friends house that lives right in that neighborhood. I wonder how many more people have to lose their lives before they will install lights and stoplights. Edgemere is a busy street and every Edgemere intersection to a major street has lights and stop lights.
My prayers go out to everyone involved in this tradedy.

I agree on the lights having to be put up in that area. I have emailed the city for this as the intersections are accidents waiting to happen. I have lived in that area for a year and a half, and seen many accidents.

It's very sad that these kids died in such a terrible accident. I might agree with some of the people the posted their comments earlier. But I drive on this highway and go thru these intersections about 3 times a day and it is very dangerous. My personal opinion is thet there should be more lighting and that the Texas Highway Department enforce a slower speed limit.
I've been close 4 times to crash with incoming and going traffic.
My most sincere condolences to all of their families. God bless!
Hopefully the right authority could do something. I have 2 kids of my own and life is very precious and wonderful.

What does this have to do with the 3 Legged Monkey? When people drink and people die we are quick to blame someone else. Why not go further.... Blame the bartender for opening the beer we purchased? Blame Anheuser-Busch for making the beer that we drink?
The loss of life for any reason is sad. Four kids, four friends gone in an instant. We don't what really happened except for what the news tells us. And that is only about 75% accurate.

This city has retarded areas with lights n the main areas we need them the most we don't get them. Why is that? And changing a simple speed limit isn't much.... Taking ppls lives is a WHOLE lot. I give my respects and prayers to those families!
