EPISD boss given $7,400 raise, extension

Why do we pay these idiots so much? How much will taxes have to go up to pay for this nonsense?

Shame on you Dr. Garcia! Had you a soul, you would have donated this raise to the general fund of ANY of our poorer schools. What will 7K buy you that you don't already have?

I learned all I needed to know about you when you approached me at a public event. You saw me taking notes and was afraid that I was a reporter. You introduced yourself and asked who I was. When I told you why I was there, you rudely walked away, secure in the knowledge that I was harmless.

You are clearly a player, and we are the payer. In an economy that remains crippled by greed, you Sir are the disease and not the cure. Here pig pig pig ...

How can anybody call these over paid school administrators "Public Servants" when they get paid so much and enjoy so many perks. People like Dr. Garcia are in the education business for the bucks and power and not for education. I am sick of hearing the words Public Servants when it comes to these over paid bureaucrats that just live off the hard work of others.

The true public servants are the Teachers, Police. Street Maintenance people, Nurses that do the work, not those that consider themselves the Princes of Society.

As everyone has already said, in one way or another: These "public servants" get paid way too much which, in turn, makes this lucrative position a magnet for greedy people. There should definitely be a salary cap on these positions just a little over what a school principal makes. All these people in these positions scratching each other's backs for their own personal gain is obvious to most yet overlooked by the uneducated oblivious soul. Like I always have said, " El Paso is a city with a 'Town' Mentality".

Are you kidding me? This joker has alienated most of the people who work in the trenches, has been accussed of affairs, and makes poor decision regarding taxpayer money and he gets rewarded with a raise? I don't get it...we need a new school board!

With a State Baseball Championship under his belt now, he deserves it .

His raise will cover his insurance premiums... wait he doesnt have to pay the same premiums as everyone else. The teachers did the work where's our 7k raise?

SUPERINTENDENTS ARE OBSCENELY OVERPAID
I heard this morning that Pres. Obama's assistants make about $175,000 each. That is quite a bit LESS
than these superintendents make. EPISD made a huge
mistake. Superintendents have NO impact on the everyday operations of your children's education.
Teachers and school facilities are the ones who need a boost.
NO SUPERINTENDENT SHOULD MAKE OVER $150,000 a YEAR

I cannot believe this. Our taxes go up, our teachers have issues with medical coverage, and this bozo gets rewarded. Un-f-ing-believable.

Everyone has a shot at attaining a higher education i.e., Bachelor's, Master's or a PHd. If you want to settle for a high school diploma just stfu and pay your taxes along with all the other slugs. Now deal with it!

They figure increase teachers insurance policies to save money so they can give him a raise.
