Agree completely, not too sure who will step up to the plate to remind them.

I know all about profiling. I was in a local city, pulled over by an officer and when I asked why I was pulled over I was told it was because he didn't like the way I pulled away from the light. By the way, after a lenghty arguement of the legitimacy of his complaint, I walked away without a ticket. So, don't tell me about profiling. <quoted text>
On the other hand, maybe he pulled you over because he saw that giant chip on your shoulder

The police would not have had to raid the home if they were just watching TV. They were there because these people were breaking the law. The police risk their lives to spare the rest of us from these types of people. They did their job. Leave them alone.
"Their job", as I've observed over the years, has been to patrol a small town with little to no violent crime and work at the crosswalk during the carnivals held around town. Whoever decided to put these poor cops in that situation made a BIG mistake. Of course he was scared for his life...

Actually those "small town" police reached out to the regional team supposedly better trained to handle it.

I think Easton is least to blame. They had to get th approval of a States Attorney and a Judge to even think about entering the house. the regional team made the decision touse distraction devices and not just do a "knock and talk".

It's amazing how many respondents on this thread say, "Well if they weren't breaking the law.."

It's such a sad statement that people are so willing to give up a human life (and the rights as an American) because someone allegedly broke the law. It seems to me especially sad in this region of the country where we fought the British on this very turf in 1776 because of these exact illegal search and seizures. Now, descendants of these proud people who gave their LIVES against this tyranny want to hand over these rights to hearsay? These two people were in their homes and, as it turns out, had nothing but some minor amounts of illegal drugs. Shame on us all for having fallen so far.

I don’t want to fight with any one side here. But please, let’s remember what this country is about. For the sake of the country’s future and our children’s let’s defend the innocent, not the tyrants.

I agree. And what I find particularly disturbing is they acted on a tip from a person with questionable ethics. Why was she there in the first place?

Again I say, where is the criticism of the States Attorney and Judge who signed the warrant. If the qithess had "questionable ethics" then they should be held up to scrutiny as well. Or did the police omit the witness's background?

Ummm,,she was there to exchange illicit sex for money..
The so-called victim had a long history of arrests and jail time

His house was shot up a few days prior.
Hardly qualifies as "hearsay"

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Sagittarius

Moodiness is never far away today, making you over-react to problems and giving you a tendency to take out your feelings on your nearest and dearest. If someone asks you what's really wrong, you'll struggle to explain and may even have to give up because you can't put it into words. It's like an itch that you can't scratch, and you don't know where it stems from or what it means.
