MONTAGUE - Artist Jaye Pope clearly remembers the day more than 30 years ago that her art teacher at Narragansett Regional High School in Baldwinville demonstrated pottery making on a kick wheel: "It was like magic, creating life into a pile of dirt." For some, dirt is just that - dirt.
