A 1-year-old boy is dead after Jacksonville paramedics found him unresponsive Monday in a home in the 1300 block of Yellow Water Road.

A 40-year-old East Palatka man was arrested early Sunday after deputies responding to gunshots at a home on West Louis Broer Road found a woman alive with a bloody head wound, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
