Road Cuts Expose Deep History

Full story: The Hartford Courant

A highway cut on I-95 shows a hillside composed of metamorphic rock with an "instrusion," the lighter band of rock created when molten material flowed into a fissure in the base rock.

my son is a geology major in college and he always love telling about the rock formations on on way to the shore. He has always been facinated by rocks etc. since he was a small child.

I always tell the guys at work, if you find any dinosaur bones don't tell anyone of the project will be shut down.

That goes for anything crazy you find will dredging in a river bottom too!
